About David in his own words:
I am a BACP Registered therapist with experience across a broad range of clients and issues. I work within the person-centred approach, providing a compassionate, non-judgmental and non-directive space for you to freely explore your difficulties.
My aim is to work with you to create a safe and collaborative space where you can explore the uncomfortable or hidden parts of yourself, helping you to gain self-awareness, self-acceptance, and to help you grow and develop on your own terms.
Qualifications and training:
A Samaritan and Mental Health First Aider, David holds the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. He regularly undertakes training and development to ensure that he is informed and up-to-date in his work.
Professional body membership:
David is a fully qualified member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (registration no. 00964097)
Areas of focus:
My areas of interest include gender and sexuality, addiction, and trauma. I have also worked with a wide range of issues including self-harm, appearance and identity, eating disorders, family and relationship difficulties, and workplace problems.
A little-known fact:
I have a deep love of musicals and show tunes and originally trained in musical theatre, learning how to write and produce for the stage.
